Are pets allowed?
Service animals are allowed, but pets are not allowed in the market area during the market. It is a health and safety issue.
How do I use WIC & EBT Card?
Get tokens with with your debit or EBT card at our market manager stall. The tokens are good all season long at the Wausau Farmers Market and enables all our residents to purchase foods from local producers.
The tent has a wireless card reader that allows you to swipe your FoodShare card. After requesting a specific amount of funds from your account, a volunteer will give you $1 tokens to use with accepting vendors. You can exchange tokens with those vendors for eligible food items. Any extra tokens can be kept for use at the market all season long.
How Do I become a Vendor?
New vendor members are added on an annual basis. If you are interested, download and complete the new vendor application. Send the completed application along with a $5 application fee to Farmers Market of Wausau, PO Box 2323, Wausau, WI 54402-2323
What is the WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program?
The WIC Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) is associated with the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children, popularly known as WIC. The WIC Program provides supplemental foods, health care referrals and nutrition education at no cost to low-income pregnant, breastfeeding and non-breastfeeding post-partum women, and to infants and children up to 5 years of age, who are found to be at nutritional risk.

Do you take credit card?
A few vendors may be able to process credit card transactions, but it is recommended that you bring cash as most vendors only accept cash.
Who are all the Vendors?
The Wausau Farmers Market consists of 50 market-member vendors.
All vendors are from the local area and their produce and products are grown or made locally unless otherwise specified.
